Wait! I take everything back! All hail Flickr! You see, what I forgot to do is hit the refesh button everytime I attempt to sign in. And then--I hit the refresh button again! So it was all my fault.
Boy, I can't wait to move on to my next task!

Hahaha... And isn't refreshing the screen on your mind at all times?
Srsly, I'm betting that the trouble you were having was a momentary glitch, or heavy network traffic, because I've never been required to refresh the screeen ordinarily when using Flickr.
